Does anyone here have experience with gearbox specialists in Sharjah? Looking for honest feedback

My 2015 Mercedes E350 has started making a whining noise from the transmission that gets louder as I speed up. It's not super loud yet but I know these 7G Tronic units can have pump issues and if I ignore it I'm probably looking at a full rebuild. The dealer in Dubai quoted me 2,500 dirhams just to open it up and diagnose, which seems insane. A guy at my office told me to check out some of the transmission shops in Sharjah because they're way more affordable and actually know what they're doing. I found https://gearboxrepairsharjah.ae online and it looks like they cover a lot of brands, but I'm always nervous about taking my car to a shop I found on the internet, you know? I'm hoping to hear from someone who's actually used a gearbox specialist in Sharjah, not necessarily this specific place but any reputable shop. Did they stand behind their work? How were the prices compared to Dubai? I don't mind driving to Sharjah if it saves me thousands of dirhams, but I also don't want to end up with a transmission that fails again in six months. The car has 165,000 kilometers on it and I'd like to keep it for at least two more years. Any recommendations or warnings would be super helpful. Thanks everyone.

Whining noise that increases with speed on a 7G Tronic is almost always a pump or torque converter bearing issue. Catching it now before it develops further is exactly the right instinct at 165k kilometers.

2,500 dirhams just to open and diagnose on a Mercedes transmission at a dealership is a standard overcharge. Sharjah specialists with proper 722.9 diagnostic software do the same assessment for significantly less.

Nervousness about an internet shop is understandable but Sharjah transmission specialists who handle 7G Tronic units regularly are genuinely skilled. Asking about their warranty policy before booking tells you a lot about their confidence in their own work.

165k kilometers on an E350 that you want to keep two more years makes a proper transmission diagnosis essential right now. A whining pump ignored for a few more months usually becomes a full rebuild situation.

Price difference between Dubai dealers and Sharjah independents on German transmission work is consistently significant. Same parts, same diagnostic software, far more reasonable labor rates once you find a shop with a solid reputation.
