Why should Filitra not be taken daily without guidance?

Filitra contains vardenafil, a PDE5 inhibitor used for erectile dysfunction. It should not be taken daily without medical guidance because the dosing and safety depend heavily on your heart health, other medicines, and the underlying cause of ED. Here’s why unsupervised daily use is risky: 1. Blood pressure can drop too much Vardenafil widens blood vessels. If taken daily (especially without monitoring), it can cause: dizziness fainting unsafe blood pressure drops, especially when standing up or after alcohol 2. Dangerous drug interactions Daily use increases the chance of interacting with: nitrates (used in chest pain/heart disease) → can cause a severe, life-threatening BP crash alpha-blockers (for prostate/BP issues) certain antibiotics or Filitra that affect drug levels 3. Heart strain risk Sexual activity plus repeated PDE5 use can stress the cardiovascular system in people with: hidden heart disease uncontrolled BP diabetes or smoking history Doctors usually assess whether ED is a warning sign of cardiovascular disease before approving regular use. 4. Side effects can build up More frequent dosing can increase: headaches flushing nasal congestion acid reflux vision changes (rare but important) 5. Priapism risk (prolonged erection) Rare, but repeated or inappropriate use can slightly increase risk—this is a medical emergency if an erection lasts >4 hours. 6. Wrong treatment pattern Not all ED requires daily medication. Some causes are: stress/anxiety hormonal imbalance diabetes medication side effects These need targeted treatment rather than continuous PDE5 use. 7. Masking underlying disease Regular unsupervised use can delay diagnosis of: cardiovascular disease low testosterone metabolic issues Important distinction Unlike some ED drugs (like daily low-dose tadalafil in specific cases), vardenafil (Filitra) is generally intended for “as-needed” use, not routine daily dosing unless a doctor specifically prescribes it.
