lyrica generic is an anticonvulsant and antiepileptic medication. It functions by reducing the speed of seizure-inducing brain impulses. Pregabalin also has an impact on brain chemicals that transmit pain signals to the neurological system.
Pregabalin is used to treat fibromyalgia pain, nerve pain from diabetes (diabetic neuropathy), herpes zoster (post-herpetic neuralgia), and pain from spinal cord injury.
For the treatment of partial-onset seizures in adults and children who are at least one month old, pregabalin is also used with other drugs.
There are more uses for pregabalin not covered by this pharmaceutical guide.
A pregnancy registry may include your name if you're expecting it in order to monitor the impact of lyrica generic on the unborn child.
Pregabalin can lower sperm counts and may have an impact on male fertility (your ability to have children). Pregabalin also causes in birth abnormalities in the children of men who received this medication in animal trials. It is unknown, though, whether these consequences would apply to people.
