Tadalista, which contains tadalafil, is used primarily for erectile dysfunction and sometimes for pulmonary arterial hypertension. It can interact with several drugs, leading to serious health risks.
- Nitrates (e.g., nitroglycerin): Combining Tadalista with nitrates can cause a dangerous drop in blood pressure, potentially leading to fainting, heart attack, or stroke.
- Alpha-blockers (e.g., doxazosin, tamsulosin): Both medications lower blood pressure, and when taken together, they may cause an excessive drop in blood pressure, dizziness, or fainting.
- Antihypertensive drugs: Tadalafil can enhance the blood pressure-lowering effects of antihypertensive medications, leading to hypotension.
- CYP3A4 inhibitors (e.g., ketoconazole, ritonavir): These drugs can increase tadalafil levels in the body, raising the risk of side effects like headaches, dizziness, or prolonged erection.
- Other erectile dysfunction drugs (e.g., sildenafil, vardenafil): Combining these drugs with tadalafil can increase the risk of adverse cardiovascular effects and priapism (prolonged erection).
