So I took my 2021 Tiguan for a tyre rotation last week at a shop in Qusais and the guy called me over to show me that the front inner brake pads are almost down to nothing while the outer pads still have plenty of life left. He mentioned something about possible caliper issues or maybe just stuck guide pins but I honestly have no idea if this is a common thing with these cars or just bad luck. The car has done about 55,000 kilometers mostly highway driving between Dubai and Abu Dhabi so I wasn't expecting brake problems this soon. I've been looking around for a place that does proper Volkswagen brake pad service in Dubai because I want someone who actually understands the brand to check the whole system not just throw new pads on and hope for the best. A friend with a Passat recommended a garage in Al Quoz that specializes in German cars but he couldn't remember if they're good with brakes specifically. Has anyone here experienced uneven wear on their Tiguan or similar VW model? Would love to know if it was just sticky calipers or something more serious. Also if you know a reliable workshop around Al Quoz or maybe Rashidiya that does honest work please let me know, really don't want to deal with the main dealer prices right now.
