Some breeders keep one or both parents of a strain undisclosed, often listing them simply as unknown or a private cut. They usually say this protects their work from copying, which is understandable in a crowded market. Several listings at https://budweedseeds.com show lineage like this, and I find it makes predicting stretch or flowering time harder. I don't avoid them entirely, but I prefer to wait for grow reports before buying one.
