Operation HOPE has launched Juanita, its AI financial coach, inside the HOPE in Hand mobile app. Users can now download the app on Apple and Android devices. This move makes personal financial advice easier to reach. Operation HOPE is a non-profit organisation that helps low and moderate income Americans succeed in an evolving economy. Through Juanita, individuals receive support with everyday financial decisions and long-term financial goals.
Operation HOPE introduced Juanita in August 2026 as part of its HOPE AI™ initiative. This AI financial coach offers free financial education and advice around the clock. Specifically, Juanita covers budgeting, saving, credit, debt reduction, and financial goal setting. Now, users can chat with her directly from their smartphones.
John Hope Bryant, Founder, Chairman and CEO of Operation HOPE, stressed the need for open access. Bryant also co-chairs HOPE AI™ with Van Jones. Jones is the Founder of Dream Machine, a media personality, an entrepreneur and a best-selling author.
"Financial guidance should be accessible to everyone, not just those who can afford it," said John Hope Bryant, Founder, Chairman and CEO of Operation HOPE.

Juanita Honors a Mother's Legacy
Juanita carries the name of Juanita Murray Smith, the mother of John Hope Bryant. She raised her children as a single mom in South Central Los Angeles. However, she lost everything during her divorce. Even so, she built her financial knowledge and skills. She later owned several properties and became a millionaire. Her story inspired the creation of Juanita.
