Trying to figure out the smoothest way to get someone productive quickly.
We're bringing on a developer through an IT staff augmentation company for a short term project with a tight deadline, and I'm worried the onboarding process alone will eat into the limited time we actually have with them.
Never onboarded augmented staff before so want to avoid wasting the first few days.
Things I'm trying to plan for:
- What documentation or access should be ready before their first day starts
- How much ramp up time is realistic before they're actually contributing
