I’ve been trying to find the right balance between helping my parent and letting them continue doing things on their own. They don’t need constant assistance, but there are certain parts of the day when basic tasks have become more difficult and take much longer than they used to. We’re considering some outside help, especially for things like meals, light housework, errands, and getting ready, but I want to make sure it feels supportive rather than intrusive. While researching home care Columbus options, I’ve noticed that care can be arranged around a person’s actual routine instead of necessarily having someone there all day. That seems like it could be a good way to provide some extra support while allowing my parent to remain comfortable in their own home and maintain as much independence as possible.
