Do Adult Vertical Ads actually give good ROI

I have been thinking about this for a while now, do Adult Vertical Ads really bring in good ROI, or is it just something people say when it works for them?

When I first got into this, I assumed it would be pretty straightforward. Pick a niche, run some ads, and watch conversions come in. But honestly, it did not play out that way. I spent money on campaigns that barely broke even, and sometimes not even that. It made me wonder if I was choosing the wrong verticals or just missing some basic approach others were using.

After a bit of trial and error, I started paying more attention to the type of audience I was targeting. One thing I noticed is that not all verticals behave the same. Some respond quickly, while others take time and repeated exposure. I also realized that pushing too hard with aggressive creatives did not always work. In fact, softer and more relatable ads sometimes performed better.

Another thing that helped was focusing on one vertical at a time instead of jumping between multiple ones. Earlier, I was spreading my budget too thin. Once I narrowed it down and tested variations within a single category, results became a bit more stable. Not perfect, but definitely more predictable.

I am still learning, but it seems like the people getting high ROI are not just relying on one trick. They test patiently, understand their audience, and make small improvements instead of big changes all the time. If you are struggling with this, maybe try simplifying your approach first before scaling anything.

Would be interesting to know if others here found a specific vertical that worked better for them or if it is all just testing in the end.
