Do Adult Popunder ads actually bring real signups?

I have been curious about something lately. Do Adult Popunder ads actually bring real signups, or are they just another traffic trick that looks good in reports but does not convert?

A while back I started looking into Adult Popunder ads because people in a few forums kept mentioning them. The idea sounded simple. Your ad opens behind the current page and the user sees it after closing their tab. It seemed less annoying than some ad formats, so I wondered if that meant better engagement.

My main doubt was quality. Getting traffic is easy in the adult niche, but getting people who actually sign up is a completely different story. I had tried banners and push ads before. They brought visitors, but a lot of them bounced quickly. So I was skeptical that popunder traffic would be any different.

After running a small test, I noticed a few interesting things. First, the landing page matters a lot more than I expected. When I used a generic page, the signups were pretty weak. But once I switched to a simpler page with a clear message and fewer distractions, conversions improved. Not dramatically, but enough to notice.

Another thing I realized is targeting. When the traffic source is too broad, the results feel random. But when I narrowed the audience and matched the ad message with the landing page, the traffic felt more relevant. It still was not perfect, but it started to make more sense.

So my takeaway is that Adult Popunder ads are not magic. They will not fix a bad offer or weak landing page. But if the offer is decent and the page is simple and clear, they can bring steady traffic that sometimes converts better than expected.

I am still testing and learning, but so far they seem worth experimenting with if you are already running adult campaigns.
