Coveo has acquired Anglera to improve AI-powered eCommerce product discovery through advanced product data enrichment. Announced on October 29, 2026, the acquisition combines Anglera’s agentic AI technology with Coveo’s Commerce platform. Together, the companies aim to help manufacturers, distributors, and enterprise retailers make products easier to discover, compare, and purchase across eCommerce websites and AI shopping assistants.

Coveo Combines Product Data Enrichment With AI Commerce

Anglera is a San Francisco-based, Y Combinator-backed AI company specializing in product data enrichment. Its technology extracts product information from manufacturer specifications, PDFs, images, and other sources.
The platform uses AI agents to standardize and validate product attributes against individual catalog requirements. It also retains source references, helping businesses verify information and maintain product data accuracy.
By integrating Anglera's capabilities into its Commerce offering, Coveo plans to strengthen product discovery across digital channels. The acquisition also adds Anglera's enterprise customer base, which includes multiple Fortune 500 companies.
Coveo CEO and Co-founder Laurent Simoneau explained that accurate product information helps buyers find and evaluate products more effectively. He highlighted the importance of connecting enriched product data with customer search intent to improve buying experiences and business outcomes.

Accurate Product Information Improves Online Discovery

Product catalogs often contain incomplete information about important attributes such as dimensions, materials, technical specifications, and compatibility. These missing details can prevent search engines and AI assistants from identifying relevant products.
According to NielsenIQ research cited in the announcement, missing product attributes can reduce product discoverability by up to 30%.
Anglera addresses this challenge by collecting product information from multiple authoritative sources. Its AI engine processes complex B2B and B2C catalogs, where individual products may contain hundreds of technical attributes.
The platform then organizes and validates the information before making it available across digital commerce channels. This approach helps businesses improve product visibility and provide customers with more complete information during purchasing decisions.

Acquisition Supports AEO and GEO Strategies

Coveo and Anglera also aim to improve product visibility across traditional search experiences and AI-powered discovery platforms.
Enriched product information can support Answer Engine Optimization (AEO) and Generative Engine Optimization (GEO). These strategies help businesses make product details more accessible to AI assistants and other discovery tools.
In a 30-day A/B test involving an apparel retailer, Anglera reported a 120% increase in organic landing-page traffic and a 270% increase in AI-referred visits for product pages with enriched data. The test covered approximately 300 SKU variants compared with a control group. These results represent Anglera's reported findings and may vary across businesses.

Coveo Connects Customer Intent With Product Information

Coveo contributes AI-powered search and product discovery capabilities to the combined offering. Its platform customer uses intent, context, and behavioral signals to deliver relevant products and recommendations.
The companies plan to connect these insights directly with Anglera's enrichment engine. For example, unsuccessful searches and frequently requested product attributes could reveal missing catalog information.
Anglera could then enrich the relevant product records, while Coveo measures improvements in discovery and conversion. This creates a continuous feedback process that connects customer needs with product catalog improvements.
Peter Curran, Chief Product Officer at Coveo, highlights Anglera's ability to ground AI-generated product information in multiple authoritative sources. This approach helps reduce reliance on images or web scraping alone and supports the accuracy requirements of enterprise commerce.

Anglera Customers Gain Coveo's Enterprise Support

Following the acquisition, Anglera customers will continue using the Anglera platform with support from Coveo's resources and infrastructure.
Coveo Commerce customers will also be able to access Anglera's product enrichment capabilities as an add-on. The companies plan deeper integration to connect product information improvements with buyer behavior and discovery outcomes.
Coveo and Anglera's teams will also participate in B2B eCommerce World Americas on November 2–3, 2026, in Indianapolis.

Strengthening the Future of AI-Driven Commerce

The acquisition reflects the growing importance of accurate product information as buyers increasingly rely on AI assistants to research and compare products.
By combining agentic product data enrichment with AI-powered search and recommendations, Coveo aims to help enterprises improve product visibility, customer experiences, and purchasing decisions.
The companies expect their combined capabilities to support manufacturers, distributors, and retailers as digital commerce increasingly incorporates conversational and AI-driven shopping experiences. Coveo did not disclose the financial terms of the acquisition.
