Global architecture and design firm Corgan has officially appointed Ben Dawson as Aviation & Transportation Studio Leader in its Singapore office. Expanding its Corgan aviation studio presence across the Asia-Pacific region enables the firm to partner directly with airport operators, municipal authorities, and commercial partners to design transforming passenger terminals and complex transit infrastructure. Based in Singapore, Dawson will oversee regional client strategy, lead project execution, and scale the firm's local practice to support soaring passenger traffic and massive airport modernization programs across APAC markets.

The strategic leadership hire reflects Corgan's ongoing commitment to investing in top-tier aviation talent while expanding its international footprint. Ranked as the third-largest architectural firm in the United States by Building Design + Construction, Corgan brings over 75 years of specialized transportation planning experience and a portfolio of iconic global gateway projects. Dawson's addition positions the firm to capture expanding market share across fast-growing aviation hubs in Southeast Asia and wider Asia-Pacific territories.

Bringing Two Decades of Regional Aviation and Landmark Architecture Experience

Ben Dawson steps into the leadership role with nearly 20 years of architecture and aviation design experience delivering complex, large-scale infrastructure projects throughout the Asia-Pacific region. His career portfolio includes comprehensive airport master planning, commercial master planning, greenfield airport developments, and major passenger terminal redevelopments.

Dawson's past project work includes landmark aviation developments such as the Kansai International Airport Terminal 1 Renovation in Japan, Clark International Airport in the Philippines, and Singapore Changi Airport Terminal 4. Beyond aviation facilities, Dawson previously led the design and construction management of Gardens by the Bay, Singapore's iconic $1 billion waterfront development. His deep understanding of regional construction standards, regulatory frameworks, and passenger demographics gives Corgan a strong operational anchor in Singapore.

Capitalizing on Unprecedented Asia-Pacific Passenger Demand

The Asia-Pacific region continues to lead global aviation recovery and growth, driven by expanding middle-class populations, increased regional tourism, and massive government investment in regional connectivity. Airports across the region handle some of the world's highest passenger volumes and require sophisticated architectural solutions to balance rapid throughput with premium passenger experience.

Ben Dawson highlights that regional airports stand out globally for their sheer scale, passenger density, and architectural ambition. Expanding Corgan's international design footprint across APAC creates new opportunities to build multidisciplinary project teams tailored to meet the technical demands of regional aviation clients.

Executive Vision and Global Infrastructure Alignment

Jonathan Massey, Managing Principal and Aviation & Transportation Sector Leader at Corgan, noted that Dawson's appointment will transform the firm's operational capabilities across Singapore and the wider region. He emphasized that Dawson's track record in delivering high-performance, technically complex projects while fostering collaborative design teams strengthens Corgan's global leadership position in aviation architecture.

By pairing Corgan's global technical expertise proven through landmark projects like LaGuardia Airport Terminal C and Los Angeles International Airport West Gates with Dawson's local execution experience, the firm delivers data-driven, passenger-centric terminal designs built for long-term operational resilience.
