Collapsible vs rigid pallet boxes, what's your experience?

We're looking to upgrade our storage for loose components like plastic fittings and small metal brackets, and I'm torn between two options. The rigid pallet boxes seem more durable but they take up the same space whether they're full or empty. The collapsible ones save a ton of room when not in use but I worry about the hinges and latches breaking after a year of daily use. I've been looking at different palletized boxes online and the price difference isn't huge, so that's not really the deciding factor. Our warehouse space is pretty tight so the collapsible idea is really appealing, but I don't want to be constantly repairing or replacing them. We load and unload with forklift and sometimes stack them two high. Has anyone here used both types for a while and developed a strong preference? Also curious if the collapsible ones are more likely to collapse accidentally if a forklift bumps them the wrong way. That would be a nightmare with a full load of parts. Appreciate any real world advice before I buy a test batch.
