Yes, you can mount Amazon S3 bucket in File Explorer , but Windows does not natively treat an S3 bucket like a local drive. A dedicated cloud-mounting application can connect the bucket and make it accessible through File Explorer without manually working with command-line tools.

Prapl Cloud Mount Manager lets you connect Amazon S3 and access the bucket directly from Windows File Explorer. Once mounted, the S3 storage appears as a drive, making it easier to browse and manage cloud files from the familiar Windows interface.

Steps to Mount S3 in File Explorer

  1. Install Prapl Cloud Mount Manager on your Windows PC.
  2. Launch the software and click on Add Server .
  3. Select Amazon S3 from the available cloud storage options.
  4. Enter your S3 connection details , such as the Access Key ID, Secret Access Key, and required bucket information.
  5. Click Mount to establish the connection.
  6. Open File Explorer → This PC .
  7. Your Amazon S3 bucket will appear as a mounted drive , allowing you to access and manage the stored files from File Explorer.
This approach is useful when you want S3 files available from Windows without repeatedly opening the AWS console or manually running commands.
