Abnormal AI announced a strategic partnership with OpenAI to accelerate the adoption of secure enterprise AI and enhance threat response capabilities for global businesses. Currently securing more than 25% of Fortune 500 companies through native security behavioral, Abnormal AI plans to scale OpenAI model usage internally across its software engineering and business operations. Through this relationship, enterprise security teams gain stronger cyber defense capabilities that integrate directly into established defense workflows.

The initiative focuses on integrating intelligent technology into complex security workflows. While Abnormal AI continues to train proprietary behavioral models to stop sophisticated attacks, OpenAI brings capabilities focused on threat analysis and vulnerability remediation. Consequently, both organizations are working to build governing enterprise solutions that prioritize operational visibility, trust, and control.

Advancing Threat Detection and Enterprise AI Governance

As part of the collaboration, Abnormal AI has officially joined the OpenAI Daybreak Cyber Partner Program as an early security collaborator. The companies will evaluate how OpenAI's frontier models and Codex Security complement Abnormal's existing Behavioral AI engine. Despite these integrations, Abnormal AI will continue to power its core detection and response architecture using its proprietary algorithms.

Evan Reiser, Founder and CEO of Abnormal AI, emphasizes that partnering with mission-aligned organizations helps bring effective AI defenses into production safely. By expanding internal OpenAI usage, Abnormal AI aims to help enterprise clients deploy artificial intelligence with greater operational confidence.

Streamlining Next-Generation Threat Response Workflows

The partnership enables both teams to share insights on safe enterprise AI integration across engineering and customer support operations. OpenAI's Daybreak initiative unites specialized cyber models, Trusted Access for Cyber frameworks, and software tools to streamline threat response at scale.

Mike Aiello, Head of Cyber Products at OpenAI, noted that Abnormal AI brings deep domain expertise in email and identity security. Combining behavioral threat analysis with generative capabilities empowers enterprises to defend against evolving cybercrime and protect critical infrastructure effectively.
