Workato has launched Enterprise MCP Servers , enabling organizations to expose their APIs and integrations as Model Context Protocol (MCP) servers that allow AI agents like Claude, ChatGPT, and Cursor to securely access enterprise systems and execute real business workflows at scale. This innovation supports enterprise AI adoption by helping companies connect their data, processes and tools through a standardized interface that preserves governance, security and operational control.
As part of the new offering, Workato's Enterprise MCP lets businesses convert existing API collections and automation recipes into MCP-compatible endpoints eliminating the need to rewrite integrations while providing a secure gateway for AI agents to interact with internal systems. By embedding identity, rate limits, audit trails and governance, the platform ensures AI-driven workflows adhere to enterprise-grade controls as agents carry out tasks that span multiple applications and services.
Workato's Enterprise MCP is designed to enhance how organizations adopt AI by bridging the gap between intelligent models and operational systems. Instead of limiting AI tools to static information retrieval, enterprises can now let agents perform meaningful actions such as triggering workflows, orchestrating data updates and responding to real-time business signals within a secure, governing framework.
The Enterprise MCP launch also includes partnerships with major tech providers such as Anthropic, AWS, Atlassian and Box, allowing customers to realize robust, trusted AI integration with widely used platforms and services. Workato says this ecosystem approach supports rapid value realization while maintaining compliance and observability distributed across systems.
According to Workato executives, the introduction of Enterprise MCP represents a key step toward the “agentic enterprise” where AI agents operate trusted as collaborators in core business processes, enhancing automation, decision-making and operational execution without compromising enterprise policies.
