I have been curious about something lately and wanted to ask people here who run traffic in the adult or dating space. When it comes to Erotic Ads, what ad formats actually bring the best results right now?
I started experimenting with this niche a few months ago. At first I assumed the format would not matter much. I thought as long as the offer was interesting, the traffic would convert anyway. But after running a few campaigns, I realized the format makes a much bigger difference than I expected.
My first attempt was with regular banner ads. They were simple image banners placed on adult blogs and similar sites. The traffic volume looked decent, but the click rate was honestly lower than I hoped. People probably see banners everywhere and just ignore them after a while. Even when the creatives looked attractive, the engagement was not very strong.
After that I tried push style ads. I had seen some marketers talking about them in forums, so I thought it was worth a small test. Surprisingly, the response was much better. Since push notifications appear directly on the user screen, they felt more noticeable than banners. The clicks started coming in faster, and the traffic seemed more curious about the offer.
Another thing I noticed was that native style ads sometimes perform well too, especially when they blend naturally with the site content. Instead of looking like a typical ad, they appear more like recommended content. Some users seem more willing to click when the ad feels less intrusive.
Of course, not every campaign performed well. I had a few tests where the creative looked good but the landing page did not match the expectation, so people dropped off quickly. That taught me that format alone is not enough. The image, headline, and landing page all need to feel connected.
While researching different strategies, I also came across some discussions and examples about Erotic Ads formats here.
It helped me understand how different formats are typically used in this niche and why some advertisers prefer push or native over classic display banners.
Right now my personal takeaway is that push ads seem to grab attention faster, while native ads sometimes feel more natural to users. Banners still work in some cases, but they might need stronger creatives to stand out.
I am still testing and learning, so I would honestly love to hear what others are seeing lately. Are push ads still the best option for Erotic Ads, or are there other formats that are quietly performing better now?
