Teradata has appointed Ken Ricketts as its new Chief Information Security Officer (CISO), reinforcing the company’s commitment to enterprise-wide security especially across cloud and AI-driven systems. In this role, Ricketts will work closely with leadership to enhance risk management, secure product development and bolster the company’s security posture as AI becomes increasingly central to its operations.
Ricketts brings more than two decades of cybersecurity experience, including leadership in cloud security, regulatory compliance and incident response. His past roles include serving as CISO in Residence at Insight Partners and Chief Information Security Officer at Coupa Software, where he built and scaled enterprise security programmes across global environments.
At Teradata, Ricketts will focus on advancing the firm’s established vision and strategy for safeguarding customers’ data and ensuring secure innovation across products and operations. His mandate includes driving a secure product lifecycle, building a modern, risk-based governance framework, and fostering a security-aware culture across the organisation.
Teradata’s Chief Operating Officer highlighted that Ricketts’ blend of technical expertise and forwardthinking leadership will strengthen the company’s security foundation while enabling customers to innovate confidently with trusted AI solutions.
