Palm Jumeirah is the famous one, the shot everyone's seen a hundred times online, falling toward the fronds of that palm-shaped island with the Burj Al Arab sitting there and the Marina skyline stretched out below you. It's slick. Fast to reach too, if you're already near JBR or Downtown. Cameras rolling, ocean glittering, the whole thing feels like a mini production. Tandem jump there runs around AED 2,199, give or take the season, and add video if you can afford it — you truly won't remember most of the freefall otherwise, it goes by that fast.
Desert Campus, though, is a completely different vibe. You're out past Al Ain Road, no towers in sight, just dunes rolling on for miles under you. Quieter. Way fewer crowds, a check-in that doesn't feel rushed, and that golden desert light at sunrise or sunset does something the marina view simply can't. Pricing sits a bit lower here too, somewhere between AED 1,899 and AED 2,099 on weekdays, and slots fill up slower since most tourists don't even think to look past the Palm option.
So which one? Depends entirely on what you're after. Chasing the skyline, the yachts, that classic Dubai postcard frame on the way down — Palm Jumeirah, no contest. Chasing space and silence and dunes in every direction with basically nobody around — that's Desert Campus. Same instructors either way, same safety standards, it's all still Skydive Dubai underneath, so there's no real wrong pick here. From what I've noticed, first-timers gravitate toward the Palm for the view, and people jumping again tend to drift toward the desert instead, chasing something a little quieter on the way down.
