Protect Yourself from Immigration Scams

Be cautious of immigration scammers when applying for an Australian visa. They may attempt to steal your money or submit fraudulent documents on your behalf. It is important to note that advising or engaging in such practices is illegal.

Providing false or misleading information in your visa application may result in its rejection. The Department of Home Affairs may also withhold granting a visa for three years if you or a member of your family unit has had a visa refused due to the submission of false documents or information.

We recommend conducting your own research to understand the costs and requirements for your visa. You are not obligated to use a visa agent; you can apply for a visa independently using the information provided on the Department of Home Affairs' website.

Report Illegal Activity

If you have information about suspicious or illegal immigration, visa, customs, or trade activities, you can anonymously report it to the Department of Home Affairs by completing the provided form. Please be aware that intentionally providing false or misleading information to Border Watch is a serious offense.
