Best Way to Secure a Bitcoin Portfolio?

I've been slowly accumulating Bitcoin over the past year, and now that my holdings are becoming more substantial, I'm getting genuinely nervous about security. I currently keep everything on an exchange, but I know that's not ideal long-term. The problem is, I find the whole concept of self-custody with wallets and private keys pretty intimidating. Does anyone have a reliable, step-by-step guide on how to properly secure and manage a Bitcoin portfolio for the average person who isn't super technical?

That's a really smart and common concern—moving off an exchange is a crucial step once your portfolio reaches a certain size. I felt the same hesitation about self-custody until I found a fantastic resource that breaks it all down in a very logical, less intimidating way. It's a comprehensive guide (originally in French, but browsers translate it easily) that covers everything from choosing the right type of wallet, securing your seed phrase, and establishing a sane long-term management strategy without giving in to fear. It really demystified the whole process for me. Here's the link: http://www.iccgov.org/portefeuille-bitcoin-securite-gestion/
